Therapeutic Style
The first few sessions are about gaining an understanding of you and the reason you are attending therapy. During the first few sessions Lucy gathers information about you so she can better understand you and what you would like to take from ongoing sessions, that is your purpose for attending. Lucy will formulate and propose a treatment plan she believes will be most suited to you.
Subsequent sessions are treatment-based, including education which is aimed to help you increase your understanding of your condition, symptoms, and situation, as well as treatment pathways forward. Lucy likes to use a flexible combination of evidence-based therapy techniques which contribute to treatment outcomes including symptoms reduction, reduced distress, increased function in daily life, improved adjustment and acceptance, and increased resilience.
